Add Developers and Business Contacts

Users can be assigned as a Business Contact or a Developer at the Target or Source level in Target Design and at the Object level in Console. For more information about adding a contact at the object level, refer to Add Contacts to an Object and Grant Users Access To Migration Reports for Objects.

Two types of contacts can be assigned.

NOTE: Developers and Business Contacts can be added to a Target or Source regardless of the Target’s Design Status.

To add a Developer to a Target or Source in Target Design:

  1. Select Design in the Context bar.
  2. Click the Targets icon on the Design page.
  3. Either click the Developers icon for a Target

    OR

    Click the Sources icon for a Target, then click the Developers icon for a Source.

  4. Click Add.

  5. Select the developer’s user ID from the USER ID list box.

    NOTE: This list displays all users in the Stewardship Tier that have an email address registered.

  6. Click the PRIMARY CONTACT check box to enable it if necessary.

    NOTE: Primary Contacts are used for reporting purposes.

  7. Click Save.

To add a Business Contact to a Target or Source in Target Design:

  1. Select Design in the Context bar.
  2. Click the Targets icon on the Design page.
  3. Either click the Business Contacts icon for a Target

    OR

    Click the Sources icon for a Target, then click the Business Contacts icon for a Source.

  4. Click Add.

  5. Select the Business Contact’s user ID from the USER ID list box.
  6. Click the PRIMARY CONTACT check box to enable it if necessary.

    NOTE: Primary Contacts are used for reporting purposes.

  7. Click Save.
